“The Matrix of Power” at the Nitja Center for Contemporay Art in Lillestrøm (Norway)

Welcome to Nitja on Saturday, February 24th at 13.00 for the opening of the exhibition “The Matrix of Power”.

Showing works by artists Tonje Bøe Birkeland, Paulina Tamara Cid, Jeannette Ehlers, Linda Bournane Engelberth, Nayara Leite & Kaeto Sweeney, Hanne Rivrud and Hamid Waheed.

At the core of “The Matrix of Power” is reflections on power structures and identity, in relation to the power of the gaze. The artists, whose gaze is filtered through the lens of a camera, explore questions related to power structures and the power of definition, gender roles and identity, staging and storytelling, among other things.
