Mission Statement

G&S

Making the unknown known!

The mission of Gallery&Studio Arts Journal is to be a portal to the wider world of the arts, by giving recognition to lesser known artists  and introducing them to a broad audience.

Gallery&Studio covers established artists and venues as well as giving recognition to unknown and emerging artists with different settings, such as open studios, pop-up shows, online platforms, to give a more balanced view. The broadest definition of the arts includes poetry and literature, theater, dance, music as well as the visual and healing arts. The journal includes reviews, essays, critiques, competitions, interviews, schedule of events and information pertinent to art aficionados, collectors, artists, academia, gallerists, press and other individuals associated with and interested in the arts.

G&S Arts Journal is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was born from the original Gallery&Studio Magazine, run by Jeannie and Ed McCormack from 1997 to 2016.  Incorporated in the state of New York in 2015, operating in New York City, G&S Arts Journal, Inc. is run as Gallery&Studio Arts Journal.
