| Ackad begins each piece with things that are real or tangible: items found in her studio, Some of these elements are painted in oil and pigment on birch-wood panel while are others are photo impressions adhered to the surface.
This merging of real and imagined objects, which the artist sees as belonging together, creates a third world, yet another reality. |
